Experience the world of live theatre performance
Explore new and/or more in-depth challenges in
drama, movement, dance, and voice.

WEST FERRIS SECONDARY SCHOOL THEATRE

Open to: Children Gr 1 to Gr 8

Choose one, two, or all three* sessions:

Session One:
July 9th to July 13th 2012 – one week – $125.00
9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily

Session Two:
July 16th to 20th 2012 – one week - $125.00
9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily

• Auditioning: how to improve your auditions and build confidence in movement and voice
• Improvisation: Improv and theatre games to build skill and confidence and develop spontaneity
• Voice work and Movement: Strengthen your theatre voice and stage presence Character
• Development: drama techniques, monologues, and scene study

Children will be divided in groups according to age and/or experience and material will be tailored to group requirements especially for those choosing both weeks. Teamwork, confidence building, stimulating creativity, learning respect, and having fun will be our primary focus.

 

Session Three:

July 23rd to Aug 3rd 2012 – two weeks
Summer Whirlwind Musical - $250.00

Summer Whirlwind Musical: 2 week rehearsal and presentation of a full one act musical featuring 5 or more songs and accompanying choreography.

Public presentations made at West Ferris Theatre on the last Thursday and/or Friday evenings of session.

Dreamcoat Fantasy Theatre & Gateway Theatre Guild Join Forces to Create Huge Relay for Life Team

The Canadian Cancer Society's annual Relay for Life will be held on Friday June 22 - Saturday June 23rd at Canadian Forces Base North Bay.

 

Dreamcoat Fantasy Theatre is proud to join forces with Gateway Theatre Guild to enter in this year's Relay event.

 

On Wednesday April 4th, the Cancer Society will hold the media launch of their Daffodil Campaign at West Ferris S.S. at 6:00 p.m. prior to The Mirror Image rehearsal.  We encourage the entire cast and their parents and extended family to come and join us in the launch of this campaign.

 

If you are interested in becoming a member of our Relay team or if you would like to donate to our team please ask us how you can become involved.  You can get more information about the event or contact information to join our team and even links to donate on-line by clicking the Relay for Life button on the sidebar to the right.  It would be amazing to see many of you out on the track with us.  Remember you do not have to stay for the entire 12 hours to be a part of the team.
